Anti-Rust & Corrosion

We have fantastic anti-corrosion systems and solutions.  Here we remove rust and/or prevent rust from forming or reforming.  Body, chassis, undercarriage, frame, flanges, suspension, lap joints, welds, or any other area of concern are protected against rust and corrosion.

Using a primer that has electrical conductive pathways creating cathodic protection, a heavy duty zinc epoxy chassis coating with corrosion inhibitors, and/or anti-corrosion undercarriage waxes with built in elastic polymers for better protection in comparison to cheaper “protective” undercarriage waxes and tars.

Our products not only survived the ASTM B117 500 hour salt spray test, but held strong for over 2,000 hours of hot salt water sprayed on them continuously.  This is basically a torture test for anti-corrosion products.

We’ve developed multiple systems made for each vehicle individually as all cars are different for maximum defense against rust and corrosion.  We offer systems for brand new cars off the showroom floor to start their life off right, all the way to vehicles that have existing heavy rust and corrosion.  After evaluating each vehicle independently, a system will be chosen based on the necessary protection needed.  These systems are neat and clean, and provide excellent long term performance.  This is great for extreme duty vehicles such as off-road vehicles, vehicles that live within  a few miles of the coast, vehicles that see harsh winters, classic car restoration, or someone who wants maximum protection for their vehicle.  Any area of concern will be coated, frames, frame rails, subframes, drivetrain, suspension components, floor pans, spot welds, fuel tanks, skid plates, door seams, flanges, welds, tabs & brackets, lap joints, threads, etc.

As necessary we will remove drivetrain, suspension components, exhaust systems, exhaust shields, fuel tank, skid plates, etc for perfect attention to detail.  All nuts and bolts go back on with an anti-seize & anti-corrosion compound on the threads to offer long term protection to fasteners, or our mil spec thread locker for vibration prone areas.

A Comparison

Most corrosion “preventive” shops lift the vehicle into the air and quickly spray the entire underside with a thick nasty tar or oil based product which will drip for days, gets all over everything, and looks like the very unpleasant sloppy mess that it actually is. Rubberized coatings are cleaner and neater in comparison to tar/oil, however their longevity in adhesion is often disappointing. The layers can peel off the surface, and trap water between them and the metal rapidly accelerating rust! We apply a rubberized coating as well, but only after we apply layers of our superior electrical fighting and waterproof coatings, which are beneath the softer rubber coating.

For us, we took our anti corrosion test to the extreme. We have test panels that are submerged in the Salton Sea, one of the most corrosive environments possible. There’s 20% more salt than the Pacific Ocean, plus other dangerous toxics. Our test panels are checked bi-monthly for signs of rust and corrosion and they still look the same as when they were made. Our panels are still submerged in the Salton Sea to this day undergoing testing.
